The Problem
The Solution
Many cities are now prohibiting the use of large delivery trucks in the central business district. These trucks cause large amounts of traffic and pollution. This causes a problem for delivery companies because they are unable to deliver within the central area. As this becomes a trend throughout the world a solution needs to be provided in order to make sure packages are still able to be delivered within the central area.
DRCT aims to address this problem by becoming the sole distributor of packages within the central area. Rather than having multiple companies with their trucks within the city. This reduces the total number of large vans and trucks within the central area and aims to improve traffic flow and pollution.
All companies will deliver their packages to the DRCT warehouse on the outskirts of the central area. These packages then go through the DRCT scanner that scans and automatically creates the most efficient route for the packages and assigns them to a zone and its corresponding delivery vehicle.
DRCT Package Scanner
The DRCT Package Scanner scans items and automatically assigns it to a zone and a truck. With each package the route is updated for the most efficient way possible. The zones and trucks are then colour coded and shown on the screen.
